Miley was born on November 23, 1992 in Nashville, Tennessee. Her parents first named her Destiny Hope Cyrus because they believed she would accomplish wonderful things.

Miley lived with her dad Billy Ray Cyrus, her mom Leticia, and her five siblings, who are: Christopher, Braison Chance, Noah Lindsey, Brandy, and Trace.

They live on a five hundred acre farm. They had many pet cats, dogs, horses, and chickens.

Miley’s dad nicknamed her Smiley because she smiled so much. Later, this nickname was shortened to Miley.

Miley went to Heritage Middle School, where she was a cheerleader.

When Miley was growing up, she went with her family to the People’s Church regularly. The People’s Church is a Christian church in Franklin, Tennessee

When her family was living in Toronto, Canada, Miley started taking acting classes. Her lessons were at the Bad Dog Training Center, which specializes in improvisation.

Miley used to go up on her Dad’s stage and sing “Blue Suede Shoes” and “Hound Dog.”

Miley only rode a school bus once.

When Miley was eleven, she was a toilet cleaner at a company called Sparkles Cleaner Service. Miley claims to love cleaning houses.

Miley’s first tv appearance was on her Dad’s show “Doc.” Miley was nine years old at the time. Her character name was “Kylie.”

In 2003, Miley played “Young Ruthie” in the movie Big Fish by Tim Burton.

Also, Miley appeared in the music video “If Heartaches Have Wings” by Rhonda Vincent.

Miley’s first big break came when she was twelve. She was chosen to play Miley Stewart in the popular tv show “Hannah Montana.” The Disney executives worried she was “too small and too young,” to play the part, but since they loved her energy and enthusiasm, Miley was chosen.

Miley has four custom blonde Hannah Montana wigs that are very fragile and expensive.

In October 2006, Miley released her first cd. The songs on it are:
